Meet the Founder
I’m Daniel Oakley, a cybersecurity professional with more than 20 years of experience and a father of four. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how cybersecurity tools and guidance are often designed for large organizations and technical professionals, leaving individuals, families, and smaller businesses to navigate increasingly complex risks on their own.
As a parent, I see that challenge from another perspective. Children are introduced to connected devices, apps, gaming platforms, school systems, and social media at an early age, but parents are rarely given clear, practical guidance on how to evaluate those technologies or configure them safely.
The Security Checklist was created to help close that gap. It brings professional cybersecurity experience to everyday technology decisions, helping people understand risk, take practical action, and use technology with greater confidence.
